Fox News, Fist Bumping and Fear Mongering

To some, its called a "fist pound." To others, it appears to be the ol' "terrorist fist bump." Whatever it is, its caused quite a stir.

During the June 6 edition of Fox News’ America’s Pulse, host ED Hill introduced an upcoming segment by saying, “A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab" when referring to The Obama's preferred nonverbal
style of communication. As a result, "fist bump" experts are coming out of the woodwork weighing in on the fist bump that has changed the way America looks at fist bumps.

One can only hope the someone can shed light on what was obvious to many during a recent commencement address President Bush when he elected to engage in the "terrorist chest bump."

I find the interaction between Barach and Michelle very authentic and loving -- including the fist jab. As for the commentator, it seems that she was only reciting what others have referred to it - as. I can't believe she thought it really was a "terrorist fist jab" -- nah ... she couldn't have ... could she?

As a gay man, I think Bush's chest bump (with the cadet) was kinda' sexy (not to mention his drum beating and old soft shoe maneuvers). I like his ability to relate to others with 'local' color and custom - which I also think is authentic.
